THE TERRITORY IS hamlets and castles

The Umbrian Valley, a.k.a. Spoleto Valley, between Monteluco and the Monti Martani, is a territory by the wide, diversified archaeological, historical and artistic features.
Besides picturesque castles and splendid monuments, you may still perceive the long-lasting integrity of the relation with the surrounding environment, a true symbiosis between inhabited centres and nature.

THE TERRITORY IS surprises and colours

Campello sul Clitunno lies scattered across slopes with valuable olive groves. It includes the 14th-century-old castle of Campello Alto, maybe built again on a fortified settlement from the feudal age. Close to the Fonti del Clitunno, there rises the Palaeochristian Tempietto, from the 4th century.

Castel Ritaldi rose in the 13th century in the place of a Roman small centre; today it is a small town by the great agricultural and enogastronomic importance. The parish church of San Gregorio, dating back to the 12th century, lies North of the town, in panoramic position.

Giano dell'Umbria, on the Monti Martani, was a dominion of the Dukedom of Spoleto, then passes to the State of the Church. Its oil and wines are among the most valuable produce of Umbria. The Abbey of San Felice (12th century) rises outside the inhabited centre.
